This mural was created for Webb Hall, the earth science building at University of California, Santa Barbara. This was a part of the Take the Stairs campaign, which was created to beautify stairwells on campus in an effort to encourage more walking and less riding the elevators. This mural, titled Drift, was a joint effort between me, the earth science faculty, and the art department. I used images of UCSB alumni as well as well-loved scientists to create this line collage that stretched up an entire level. The planning took two months and the execution took four weeks. The entire painting process was accompanied by the entire discography of Prince, to whom the mural was dedicated.
